playing into a 20mph wind hit a 6 iron which didn’t leave the flag. one of the best 6 irons I’ve ever hit and achieved my second hole in one.

17th hole par 4. Wind behind so thought it was driveable. Can't see the green. From the tee but knew it was on line. The group in front waited on us coming to the green to congratulate the person who had hit first which was me so good that they had saw it go in.

My husband Neil Watts and I live in Cuenca, Ecuador. We are retired and moved here from the USA in 2015. We spend much of our time golfing the beautiful Courses in Ecuador. We are fortunate to have registered handicaps with the Ecuador Golf Federation. My story... "On Friday, Sept. 24, I hit an ace on the par 3 hole #12 (3), while playing in the National Open Tournament at Club Los Chillos, near the city of Quito. It is a difficult 9 hole course. The distance is 118 yards, but it is an elevated green not visible from the tee box.I used an old Callaway 7 wood. When my ladies group arrived at the hole, we couldn't find my ball. I knew I had hit a good shot and thought perhaps it went in the hole. Sure enough when we looked it was a hole-in-one." The generous Los Chillos Club gave me a gift certificate of $1,300.00 to pay for unlimited food and drinks for the 70 players in the tournament that day. It was a fabulous, instant fiesta! However, my play in the tournament was abysmal after that. It is my second hole-in-one, the first was at the Balfour Club in British Columbia in May 2009.

I hit a 9 iron lovely, bent down to pick my tee up while Adey (playing partner) said it’s all over it. Next thing I know Adey and Toby (playing partners) are on top of me jumping up and down hugging me, screaming HOLE IN 1, HOLE IN 1 Brilliant experience that I will never forget made special by two great lads, Toby and Adey PS I can’t play golf play golf for toffee
