A typical easy going wedge shot with height . fortunately no wind and the ball bounced short of the green and rolled across into the hole.

The ace on no 10 kickstarted a back nine of 33 to win the Pannal Trophy

Used my driver to avoid all the bunkers. thought the ball had gone through the back of the green. Both my playing partners had an idea it had gone in.

was out in level par had my hole in one at ten and finished 5under par for the back nine to shoot 66 (-5under)

I was playing in the Monthly medal on Wednesday 25th August and was shocked to see that the ball had gone straight in . The shot was witnessed by Kevin Bailey

perfect 6 iron to front of green before rolling down slope to hole which was obscured from tee by a bunker. playing partner was also by the pin but luckily it was my ball in the hole.

Hole in one

Relatively long par 3 off blue tee with flag at rear of green. I took a 5 wood which I hit very well it pitched and ran through the shadows of the trees and nestled in the hole. What a feeling, my first hole in one which was shared with the group in front and the one behind. What a moment.

Hit a 7 wood with a slight draw, bounced over front bunker but did not see the ball go into the hole. The match in front started waiving, that when I knew I had my hole in one

it was a lovely day for golf, sun shining and course looking fabulous. I couldn’t believe the ball had gone in and my playing partner was going ape (in a good way) it didn’t sink into my head until the next day. 👍

From the moment the ball left the club face , I knew it was close ! A tricky Par 3 that on Competion day you’re happy to find the green ! Very happy to get my 1st hole in one ! Here’s to many more now!!

Hit a hole in 1

I hit a pitching wedge to about 10 feet and it spun back into the hole

I was playing in The Ingleby Cup ( a boarded comp). it is a bogey comp. which I won with a score of +10. The hole is 118 yards over the river Roding. The rough on the river bank is quite high - I saw it bounce but unfortunately I didn’t see it go in. I was playing in a 4 ball and one of my playing partners said he thought it had gone in. As we arrived at the green there were 2 balls on it and we weren’t sure whose they were so I took a few tentative steps towards the hole and there it was - at the bottom of the cup. Much cheering all round especially from me as it was my first.
