Hole in one on the last hole

After dragging my tee shot way left on the last four occasions, I was only trying to hit the green !

Played 9 iron into green, one bounce and straight in. Playing partners Paul Shepard and Lee Clements.

A slow driver delivered

Hit a lovely shot with a rescue club straight at the flag, ball landed on the green but no one saw it drop in the hole, got to the hole and there it was in the bottom of the cup. My very first hole in one after playing all these years .

having a shocker 7 on the previous hole hit a sweetish iron into the punch bowl, rolled up the bank, back down and into the hole. Happy days.

Having won the first Head of State Invitational Tournament, I came in very eager to win again bit things turned out funny. The only memory I hold today is the recovery from Hole 6 and finally my first ever hole in one on hole 9 after a birdier on hole 8.

Playing in the Seniors Trehill Trophy competition the 15th par 3 is a downhill hole and can be tricky off the white tees especially if windy. I took a 6 iron and hit the ball straight for a change, I didn't actually see it going in to the hole but my playing partner did.

I had 147 yards on the gps to front of green,guarded by water in front,the pin was left middle on the green with bunkers pin high ,there is a small run to the green that plays round the water,there was a bit of wind left to right,I’d thought if I could send the ball out to bunker s hopefully it would come back in ,oh and it did I hit crisp if I don’t mind saying it myself 🤣the guys I was playing with said that’s going to be close , I bet down to pick my tee up following it in it started to turn before the bunker landed on the green bottom left then rolled up to pin ,again they said that’s going to be close,then we started to shout and encourage it then the next thing I had this amazing feeling come over me 🤩then quickly walked upto the hole just to make sure, that feeling will stay with me forever

I choked down on my 6i did a 3/4 swing, faded it in to the green and saw it hit the pin, only realised it went in when I looked for my ball

weekday stableford, hit the pin from the tee, rolled down the flag stick in to the cup
