It was a lovely day. I was playing with friends. I was presented with a lovely painting of the hole.

Really nicely struck 5 iron into an uphill green so couldn’t see it go in the hole, but delighted to see it nestled in the cup!

I hit a rescue club to a about 8ft and it tracked straight in

9 iron on the 9th to a tricky pin, 2 hops and in

First hole in one on a wet Saturday afternoon. I went aggressive, straight at the flag. It kept its line all the way. Slam dunk straight in. It sounded beautiful.

hit a pitching wedge 140 yards, it landed 5 foot past then spun back into hole

7 iron to 2 foot,1 bounce and in

congratulations Ben on a hole in one

I’d just blobbed the hole before, which turned out to be lucky for me as it meant I was last on the tee. I was a bit between clubs, but my playing partners all hit hybrids, so I swapped my 4 iron for my hybrid. When I hit it, it never left the flag, however I couldn’t see where it finished. When we got to the green I still couldn’t see it…my playing partner checked the hole first and gave me the great news! I didn’t believe it at first, so ran over to check for myself! I was ecstatic, my first ever hole in one!

After making birdie on the 7th, I struck a 9 iron towards the flag with it pitching next to the hole then taking a bounce and spinning back into the cup. the tp5x is now in my kitchen drawer 👍🏻

Very happy to have my very first hole in one

Always scared of this hole, managed a clean shot over the ditch, heard it land so knew it was safe, went to turn away till my partner told me to watch it... best feeling

.

First hole in one, after 40-odd years of playing.

After chopping round the front 9 with a score of 56 I was close to giving up. after giving myself a shake I managed to claw back a bit of self respect and closed out the back 9 on 40 with a stroke that can only be described as legendary. jubilant scenes on the 18th followed.

what a exiting day this is the fifth.and im74

hacked my way round.

Playing into a 1 club wind, slightly off the sea and uphill I decided to play an easy 6 iron off the tee and aim at the left Edge of the green. I made solid contact and but just a gentle draw. None of us saw my ball down but thought it was past the front position on the left. My partners had hit 7 sevens so initially we checked long and left but there was no sign and pin high saw no sign either. Both left side green bunkers were also empty. Initially deflated with what I thought was a reasonable shot I prepared for the walk of shame back to the tee. The green is in a natural amphitheater and a small miss left or right can lead to the ball still finding the green with the finishing of a ball mostly blind due to old dunes in between the tee box and the green. As myself and my playing partners approached the green we saw 2 x balls on the green but neither of which were mine. My other playing partner was short. As I prepared to run back one of my playing partners had ventured onto the green and found the shot had finished in the hole.

I was going to use a 5 wood but the wind was against, my partner used a driver which was short so I used a driver too. Dead straight, saw it hit the green and disappear but thought it had gone of edge but was elated to see it had gone in the hole

well struck 6 iron that bounced a couple of times and dropped

Hassenburn

6th hole at Lisburn, pin was back left, 163 yards. Wind off the left. I hit a nice 7 iron started left edge of the green and the wind just push it back towards the pin. Landed about 10 foot short and rolled up to the hole. Thought it was just gona stop on the edge but then it toppled in the crowd (Peter McDonnell, his Dad and Ian Thompson) went wild

5 iron

I achieved my Hole in One during the Saturday Medal at Kirkhill Golf Club on the 15th of May 2021. The hole is a Par 3 164 yards. I achieved this feat using my 8 Iron.
