I got a hole in one on the 13th green in gowran Park golf club on the 30/05/21, I hit a 5iron into a strong 1 club wind to a back pin, the ball went straight into the hole (slam dunk) 😍

First time I've managed to hit this tricky green. Pin tucked in behind the bunker, shot to the bank to the left then up right into the hole.

7 iron to hole that was playing 155 yards ,pitched by flag,kicked left into the hole.

it’s wasn’t the best front 9 id played. the back 9 was coming together ok with a couple of bogeys but it wasn’t going to be a competition winner with the previous round a net 81 ! as I teed up on the 18th the flag position was left side of the green near to the left greenside bunker .. I used my 7i and went through my set up referring back to a recently lesson I had specifically about setup with my irons. I took the shot and it felt good plenty of loft ... it was just over the water and going towards the left green side bunker. I thought, thats ok I’m normally in that bunker and I’ve got up and down from there before. I then realised that it was a better line and heading towards the flag ... I then heard a clatter as it hit the flag stick it suddenly disappeared. I was a bit dumb struck. I did a put my hands in there air to celebrate a bit. I waited till we walked over to see it actually in the holevefite the full celebration. myself and Andree (playing partner) were so excited I wanted to hug her but couldn’t due to the Covid restrictions. what a way to finish a round !! i always say to myself, no matter how I play there’s always something that I do which brings you back. I’ll take a Hole in One any time and it’s a shot I’ll never forget ❤️
