Hole in One Watch

Hit a solid 4 iron which landed just short of the green and ran up into the hole for my 10th hole in one. I was playing with my friend Tom Gradwell.

Exactly 30 years and 11 days on the same hole between my 1st ace and this years ace. Long-time coming :-)

Sucess!

I stepped onto the 13th tee and chose my 9 iron. The wind was blowing behind us so went down a club from my usual 8 iron. I took my swing as I normally would and cracked the ball. It landed near the middle of the green and disappeared. I couldn’t see where it finished up because of the sun. My friend Colin said “I think that went in by the way”. I wasn’t so sure. The 3 of us walked down to the green and I was convinced it was through the back in the rough. I thought while walking past the hole I might aswell have a wee look in and my ball was just sitting in the cup. I couldn’t believe it! what a feeling.

5 iron into the wind, fantastic strike.
