6 Iron

Easy 6 Iron

9 iron, over the flag, ball spun back a yard and dropped in!

It was foggy and the 10th is guarded by trees and OB on the left, a ditch all the way down the right. I launched a gently faded driver into the fog and hoped for the best! Got to the green and the ball was nowhere to be seen. My playing partner suggested I look in the hole and my face lit up as I looked down!!

I played a 7 iron off the tee. We could not see the full green and did not see the ball go in but heard it hit the flagpole. Great excitement when we realised it had gone in. Was playing a four ball with friends Tommy, Alan and Peter. Funny part, could not buy them a drink due to clubhouse closed due to Covid

just your average keen golfer

Getting this hole in one was a total surprise because I had been playing so badly that day! The first I knew about it was when the group in front started cheering! I am thrilled to get my hole in one!

Stated the day 9.30 Federated Stableford Competition, the sun not out but as we made our way to the 5th it was a lot brighter. The flag in the middle of the green from past experience knew unable to get there with anything but my driver, Gareth, Paul was on the tee with me both had hit lovely drives to right and left of pin. I took a strong grip of my driver going down the shaft slightly, hit it immediately Paul said “that’s going towards the hole great shot might of gone through” I said “yeah seen it hit the front of the green probably gone through” went to the green wasn’t there so I looked at the back of the green then the bunker to the right nothing, never thought in the hole, Gareth said have you checked the hole, I said “ No it was going towards it but never” he said “ “David come and look” obviously thought he was having fun but there it was sat nestled in it’s beauty. Just about pick it up all cheering me Susan was the 4th member of our group when Paul said “take photo” which we did and was thrilled to buy everyone a drink at the end of the competition, even a group just attending the course for the day all Spanish speaking again cheering me on, a great rest of the day and night was had, never thought it would thrill me so much, only started playing seriously June 2018.

Hit a beautiful 5 Wood pitch on the green then disappeared, thought it was too long. Walked up to the green to repair pitch mark then took 2 more steps towards the hole and sore my ball with my pink line settled in the hole - Great feeling

Par 3 hole took a 7 iron of the tee landed on the green and rolled into the hole.

skipped for joy when I had my hole in 1

it was a really windy day on the links .l hit a 4 iron with a touch of draw . We couldn’t see the ball finish as the hole is hidden behind a bunker so what a surprise to see it in the hole .It is my 3rd hole in one there. 35 years ago I received a Sunday Post putter for my first one which I still have . So it’s definitely my lucky hole

6 Iron

6 Iron

I hit 8 iron. First hole in one.

Ironically I scored my Hole in One on the same hole I’d unfortunately in March been involved in an accident with a golf ball, which resulted in the lose of sight in my right eye. On the positive side this score proves you can still continue to play golf and achieve a Hole in One.

dry weather condition, easy pitching wedge past the hole, bounce and backspin in for hole in one.

still cant believe it

8 iron from tee two or three bounces then in hole

Playing into wind in the 2nd round of the club championships, I hit a 5 iron that landed onto the green and rolled about 10ft straight into the hole!

6 iron down the breeze, a soft landing and gentle roll of about 10 feet into the hole

6 iron

Wednesday morning, weather was dry, cold & very windy. Hit the ball with A 6 iron. Ball pitched just in front of the flag and rolled in.
