As I stood on the tee with 4 hybrid in hand, said to myself just swing it easy, struck the ball and seen it landing on left of green, then I heard the guys saying it’s in the hole. I had this, my first, hole-in-one at the Par3 11th during the Final of the Club Mixed Foursomes. Nobody in our group saw the ball drop but the fourball on the next tee did and were shouting to us! We went on to win the Bryce Cup 2&1 to complete a memorable day!
I struck the ball perfectly towards the middle of the green, avoiding the bunkers guarding the hole. it faded towards the hole and I assumed it had rolled of the green. Much to my delight after looking and not seeing it I joked to my playing partners, look in the hole, and there it was!
