Hole in one

Hole in 1 14/04/2021

Ben’s Hole in One at Muir of Ord Golf Course, 24/04/21

High wee cut with driver

I hit a hold off 9 iron, bounced 2 yards short of the hole and then bounced a couple of times in to the hole.

4-iron. I whacked it and it went in!

slight wind of the left to a front right flag. Hit PW pitched 3 foot off and disappeared

5 iron, playing with my Dad and Nikki.

Good shot rolled downhill and dropped

I hit an 8 iron which covered the pin all the way. It took one bounce and went straight in the hole

a bit lucky but they all count

hole in one

not much to say

hole in one for the first time, pure joy.

I was playing with 2 friends in the Waverton roll up group. I rarely enter competitions but did on this day . I took a 6 iron , hit it well , saw the ball pitch on the front of the green . We were playing straight into the sun so we did not see it finish . What a surprise to find the ball in the hole !

13th green protected by bunkers, white flag, great for me as I can use my 4 rescue club & hope to miss bunkers. Hit a straight shot to the flag (doesn’t often happen particularly on this hole!) partner said that’s very near. Walking to the green ball looked near & nearer to the hole. Partner got to green before me & said it’s in the whole. The flag had prevented the ball from falling completely to the bottom of the hole, all it needed was a slight movement for it to drop.

A full wedge which landed 6 inches behind hole and jumped back and straight in.

It happened on our 9th hole, and I wasn’t playing particularly well up until then. I hit a good shot and knew it was on the green but couldn’t see the hole. Then a group of lads on the 10th tee started shouting and pointing (I thought maybe I’d hit one of their bags, which they’d left quite close to the 9th green, but it slowly dawned on me that maybe it had gone in the hole). I must admit I was chuffed, and played the back nine much better - it’s all about confidence, isn’t it.

My first ever hole in one. still can’t believe it, only been playing 12 months.
