hole 10, playing 163 yards wind of the left, 8 iron baby draw, the course was busy so there was cheers from the next tee box and 12 green to confirm it was in!

I took a club longer than usual even though the pin was at the front and hit the ball very gently it was heading left of the flag and then when it landed it spun to the right and hit the flag and dropped in

Hole in one achieved using a 6 iron, playing partners Michael Mitchell and Brian Scott

4iron 3 bounces and in

5wood using a scavenger super soft, breeze of the right shoulder. hit the green and rolled straight into the hole, toughest par 3 on the course

First ever after 20 years!

Hitting 9 iron into windy green. Ball flew straigth to the cup and didnt bounce back.

The weeks before this round I was not playing well, having terrible rounds and being very frustrated. I asked myself what do I have to show that I am a good golfer? I wanted to have something to remind me that I was good at the game. This round was going well and when my friends said it was a hole in one I thought, here it is, this is the sign, I am a good golfer and I can excel at this game. Since that day I have been very motivated, have lowered my handicap and I am convinced I can reach my goal to be a tour player.

My first ever hole in one

played a 6 iron down hill. pitched 3ft away with a bit of check spin and dropped straight in the cup

Bounced once then rolled into hole.

The 163yd par 3 16th is protected by a large front bunker which obscures a view of the green from the tee. Most unusually, my friend and I both hit lovely shots directly at the pin. The normal jokes about possible holes in one followed. At the green only my friends ball was visible near the flag. Obviously we assumed mine had gone through the back. More in hope than expectation we jokingly looked in the hole. It was there, yippee. The 5 stableford points were very welcome but I still finished outside the top 20 players!!

What a day what a shot.

There was an old Lady from Test Valley who could never play in a rally, having failed to score on two holes or more the emotions began to dally, when low and behold with an almighty roar one shot went into the score.

Sunday morning medal with a bonus!

Smooth 9 iron that never left the flag. Pitched about 15 feet short of the flag and hopped in on the 3rd bounce!

Hit a 6 iron about 20 yards short on a good line & rolled in. Didn’t see it till we got closer as the green sits in a gully!

.

Well struck 7 iron

At 79 I was over the moon for this to happen to me.
