Ryo Ishikawa and Rickie Fowler make the 34th and 35th holes-in-one on this season’s PGA TOUR

On Thursday, Ryo Ishikawa was first to hit the mark when he aced the 178-yard, par-three fourth with his eight-iron at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, in Gainesville, Virginia.
The ace – the second of his career – saw him go on to achieve an eight-under 63 in the opening round of the Quicken Loans National. It was the 34th hole-in-one on TOUR this season.

Not to be outdone, Rickie Fowler went on to close his opening round in true form with his second competitive hole-in-one on the 176-yard, par-three ninth (his 18th hole of the day) with a choked down seven-iron to shoot a four-under 67.
Fowler celebrated in great form by sending beer over to the media centre, embracing the long-held tradition of buying drinks for the clubhouse.
