FOUR! TURNER HOLES OUT ON 16TH AGAIN

Nottingham golfer's 'not bad for an oldie'

By James Dobbin

A Nottingham golfer has just sunk his fourth hole-in-one on the same hole, bumping his total to a whopping five aces.

And his timing couldn’t be better since he was rewarded with a limited-edition BOSS watch as recognition for his most recent achievement.

James Turner, 54, scored his latest ace with his seven-iron on the 160-yard, par-three 16th at Nottingham City GC.

And the six-handicapper has now struck gold on the 16th on three occasions with a seven-iron and once with a seven-wood.

He said: “This is my fourth hole-in-one on the 16th at Nottingham City GC but I have had five holes-in-one now. My first one was at Rushcliffe GC about nine years ago when I started playing golf. I was 45 then; my first handicap was 14 and I now play off six – not bad for an oldie!”
