Michael logs three holes-in-one in six days

Paul McGinley isn’t the only one to make a name for himself in his family after younger brother Michael completed an amazing hole-in-one hat-trick in the space of only six days.
McGinley grabbed the headlines in 2014 as the winning captain of Europe in the Ryder Cup, but younger brother Michael, the 1996 North of Ireland champion, proved he too has the luck of the Irish after completing his trio at Dubai Creek Golf and Yacht Club.
According to a report in The National, the plus one-handicapper and Dubai resident struck his first ace with a four-iron on the par-three fourth on the Jumeirah Golf Estates Earth Course – venue for the climax to the European Tour’s Race to Dubai.
McGinley then recorded a second hole-in-one two days later on the short par-three fifth at his home course, Dubai Creek, before completing his remarkable hat-trick on the same course with a sweet nine-iron on the par-three eighth hole.
He said: “It is an amazing feeling. I had a hole in one when I was 15 years old and haven’t had one since. To have three in six days is just incredible and something that I will definitely never forget. Achieving two holes in one in two days was something special, however the third really is unbelievable.”
