It was a very wet and windy day and I was playing in the Bonar Trophy at Swanston in Edinburgh. The seventh is an uphill par three and was into the prevailing wind, so used a “down the shaft“ six iron. Made a great stroke, it looked the perfect line and distance. Due to the hole being uphill we did not see it go into the hole but on arrival at the green with my partner Paul Porter the ball was nestling in the hole!!
